Today the Church is facing some enormous battles.  Attendance, finances, so many other choices that the modern day church is facing recession in most cases.  These times are very trying on leadership and pew sitters alike.  The selection of programs, music, buildings has replaced the Word of God and it's readers time.  We need the Word of God in our homes, businesses and especially in our churches as the center of our purpose.  We have seen the world come into the church and distract us. It takes the Word of God to keep us on track with our Almighty God.  It is my belief that in the future we will face more battles, and we need to be prepared to stand for God.  We now face moral situations that once even in secular standards were not allowed, now to have popularity among the population and the church is not allowed to even speak against it.  The Word of God is strong, "sharper than any two edged sword " and we will have to stand with it and show Christ to a lost and dying world.  Pastors today face government and society as they reach out to the lost to share the gospel.  Some have lost their tax exempt status over proclaiming the Word of God.  Church members need to support and even encourage their pastors to follow the word and stand with Jesus Christ.  We need to love one another as Christ loves us and quit the gossip and opinions about others and look at ourselves.  We need to be the best Christian possible.  God is watching us and He wants us to win the battle everyday.  He sends His word and His Holy Spirit to help us.  We are not alone.  Look at your neighbor in church and realize that he or she is facing this world as are we and maybe they need our enouragement.  A kind word.  We have to stick together for the standards of God and we also need to reach others for Christ.  He called us to make disciples of others. May you and the church you attend be blessed to be part of the great revival coming.  Don't give up or give in.  Jesus loves you..
